Geoff is Managing
Director of Lepus, and is also a founding board member of
PRMIA (Professional Risk Managers International Association)
and the UK PRMIA Regional Director.
Before starting Lepus, he was Head of Computer Development
at Tokai Bank Europe. There he was responsible for implementation
of a Monte-Carlo based Credit Risk system, proprietary Bond
and Swap Trading Systems, a AAA subsidiary system environment
and a front to back Credit Derivatives System. Prior to Tokai,
he was IT Director for Fixed Income, Derivatives and Futures
Broking at BZW. He jointly ran the IT for the Global Markets
Group and sat on the Markets Management Committee. His team
was responsible for designing and implementing a component
based architecture, and he was responsible for BZW's Internet
Strategy. Previous to this he was Head of IT for Abbey National
Baring Derivatives, where his team implemented an in-house
OO based Risk Management System, along with systems for Exotic
Derivatives and Bond Options.
Before moving back into Banking, he helped set up CATS Software
(a Risk Management Vendor) in Europe and was responsible for
Sales, Marketing and Support for the UK, Germany, Benelux,
Scandinavia, and France. Geoff spent the early part of his
career in the States, trading Options on behalf of private
clients for 3 years as well as holding a number of Technical,
Sales and Marketing positions in Silicon Valley.
He graduated from Bath University with an honours degree
in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
